Elon Musk's mom, Maye, recently released the Hindi version of her book 'A Woman Makes a Plan' in Mumbai. The Hindi version, 'Jab Aurat Sochti Hai', was released along with Rajkamal Prakashan at a special event in the city.
The function was scheduled around her 77th birthday, which was attended with Indian publishers and familiar acquaintances.
"I was overjoyed that my Indian publishers joined the launch of my Hindi book in Mumbai. Rajkamal Books. This being on my birthday was by sheer coincidence." The author, and former model, posted to X.
Maye Musk posted a number of photos from the event, such as those taken with her Indian publishers during the launch of the Hindi translation of her memoir. In one photo, she showcased the Hindi edition of her book.
The last image in the sequence took Maye Musk smiling happily in front of a big birthday cake with flowers on it and the number "77" written on it, with a candle lit on top.
Earlier in the day, Maye Musk shared a photograph of a bouquet of flowers sent by her son Elon. "Thank you, Elon, for sending these beautiful birthday flowers to me in Mumbai. Love, m," she wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Her visit to Mumbai included a spiritual experience as well. On Easter Sunday, Maye Musk visited the Siddhivinayak Temple.
She was joined by Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez. The pair took part in temple ceremonies and were blessed by priests. The 77-year-old dressed in a yellow printed suit for the event.
Maye Musk's autobiography published in English in 2019 describes her professional life, personal failures, and ultimate triumph as a model and nutritionist. She writes about life as a single mom, working hard to take care of her family and establishing her career as a model and dietitian.
The book recounts her own experiences and offers guidance on how to remain strong, remain healthy, and pursue your dreams - regardless of how hard life becomes or how old you are. It's intended to motivate individuals, particularly women, to have a plan and take charge of their lives. The Hindi translation seeks to reach an even broader population in India.
"Maye's book is a symbol of the resilience of a woman. It has taught me so much, especially that age is just a number and it shouldn't define your dreams and goals," said Jaqueline Fernandez.
Elon Musk has also confirmed he will visit India later this year, ahead of the much-anticipated launch of Tesla's electric vehicles in the country.
